EdEx are looking to find x3 Aspiring Psychologist / Therapist - Primary School, who will specialise in supporting students with SEN in a school based in Havering.
EdEx have placed over 500 graduates into school-based roles in the last 2 years, the majority of these graduates are Psychology, Criminology, Sociology or Creative Based graduates, who then go onto an array of careers including; Psychologists, Therapists, Counsellors, Mental Health Workers, Play / Art Therapy, you name it
We are now looking for graduates with similar aspirations to work as Graduate Teaching Assistants / Aspiring Psychologists / Therapists - Primary School. These roles are perfect for you to gain the experience needed for your MA's, MSc's or PHD's, or even Assistant Psychologist roles within the NHS.
Graduates will have the opportunity to work alongside truly world-class; CAMHS Link Workers, Mental Health Professionals, Special Assistant Needs Co-Ordinator (SENCO) and Specialist on-site teachers, all of which have multiple years industry experience
What will you do day to day?
Supervising and supporting identified children with SEN / Additional Needs in 1:1, group or whole class situations, ensuring their safety and access to learning in a purposeful and supportive learning environment.
Assisting in supporting identified children's progress and providing feedback on their achievements, progress and needs.
Leading small group sessions and interventions as appropriate.
Attending to children's personal needs where required.
Supporting with behaviour management - mild needs
Undertaking learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities to ensure achievement of learning goals.
Assisting with the supervision of children out of lesson times, including playtimes and undertaking lunchtime duty.
Provide a safe, comfortable and positive experience for children with additional needs, with support from the class teacher and school staffWhat are we looking for?
A graduate in any relatable degree - with a 1:1 or 2:1 classification
Strong academics through A-Level / BTEC's and GCSEs
Previous experience supporting children; if this is in a school based setting PERFECT
This can also include; Tutoring, Babysitting, Summer Camps, Support Work, Voluntary SEN Work and anything else children related

September Start, potential to start sooner - Long Term - Full Time (5 days per week, Mon-Fri)
£105 - £110 per day - Paid weekly
Working school hours, typically 8:30am - 4:00pm
