As a Schemes Agent you will assist the Schemes Manager in the operational delivery of our works for Hampshire Highways, ensuring compliance with the Contract and the Company’s Corporate Policies & Strategies.nThe candidate will report directly to the Schemes Manager and as a member of this team will be responsible for the successful delivery of Footway & Drainage schemes, including section 106 schemes. The candidate will also contribute to the strategic development and growth of this contract.nKey duties & responsibilities:nResponsible for the operational delivery of all Schemes within Hampshire Highways including:nManagement of our extensive supply chain,nOwnership of the annual plan and contractor’s programmenBe familiar with, and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies,nEstablish a proactive health and safety culture in line with our business standards.nSupporting the ongoing cultural change programme for alignment of delivery to Milestones core values and purposenResponsible for delivering contract efficiencies.nRepresent the Schemes Team on joint meetings with Hampshire CCnEnsure the work is resourced with sufficient staff, competent for the role expected from them.nProactively develop client relationships. Maintain sound communications with clients, depots, and supply chain.nEnsure a regular and robust timetable of internal meetings are implemented with relevant parties for which you are responsible.nEnsure that the contractors receive or have access to copies of the Environmental Policy and are kept informed of environmental developments and issues,nEnsure that the Environmental Policy and appropriate parts of Environmental Procedures are effectively managed and communicated to the workforce, particularly to those engaged on activities that have been identified as likely to have a significant environmental impact.nEnsure that quality is maintained to high standard on all schemes and Minimum standards are adhered to.nAdditional responsibilities:nManage and deliver the contract tender margin.nManage the delivery from ECI to scheme completion.nEstablish and maintain a proactive health and safety culture.nEnforce and comply with company policies and procedures.nEnsure contractual compliance and minimise defects.nDevelop and maintain sound communications with both existing and proposed clients and supply chain.nEssential skills & experience:nStrong people skills with experience in managing employees, customers, and suppliers,nTrack record in delivering multiple packages of work to agreed programmes and timescales.nA clear understanding of the health and safety, environmental and other requirements associated with the process of delivering multiple packages of highway works.nA high level of emotional and social intelligence,nDemonstrable experience in highwaysnUnderstanding of financial and contract payment mechanismsnComputer literacy with basic MS packages,nAble to work to tight deadlines under pressure,nManage and prioritise own workload,nExcellent attention to detailnQualifications (has or willing to obtain) :nSMSTS, IOSHH.nCSCS level 3.nNRSWA – Supervisor.nTemporary works supervisor.nT7 traffic management 12 D
