A long-established UK manufacturer, offering both design and production of precision engineered parts and components to companies across the world.
Registered to AS9100 Rev D, ISO(Apply online only) and Nadcap special purpose EDM machining, specialising in the Aerospace, Defence and Commercial sectors.
Coupled with an "in-house" design and technical department for prototype development and manufacture of systems and assemblies.
Job Profile
As the successful CNC Grinder, your main function will be to operate CNC Grinding machines, checking dimensions in line with the inspection processes and general maintenance of multiple machines.
Duties:
* Program, set up and operate CNC Cylindrical Grinding machines (if you don't have Programming experience, but have good setting experience, please do apply).
* To be able to work to fine tolerances.
* Produce first-off components for inspection.
* Ensure components are produced to the highest standards as per specifications and drawings.
* Inspect components during production to ensure drawing / spec requirements are maintained.
* Be able to interpret operations sheets, drawings, sketches, and CAD to program and set up parts.
* Clean and undertake preventative maintenance of machines.
* Participate in Continuous Improvement / Lean manufacturing activities where required.
Skills & Attributes:
* Experience with programming or setting and operating CNC Grinders
* Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
* Be able to use a wide range of different measuring devices and inspection techniques.
* Familiar with Aerospace AS9100D requirements in relation to CNC grinder's role.
* Able to work as part of a team and assist others where required.
Hours of Work:
* 39 hours a week
* 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday and 8am to 1pm on Fridays
