AWC are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling mechanical structures using various tools and techniques.
Duties:
- Assemble and fabricate mechanical components such as bus bars, clamps etc.
- Earthing of structures
- Perform basic mathematical calculations for measurements
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Erection of post insulators, 400Kv circuit breakers, earth switches, pantographs, surge arrestors, cable sealing ends, HAM’s, CT’s, CVT’s and disconnectors
Qualifications
- National Grid Persons
- Experience carrying out Mechanical activities near live electrical equipment
- Competent in using power tools and hand tools
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment assembly
- Ability to work within the HV sector
