A leading MEP Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to work on two prestigious residential schemes in Central London with a combined value of £60m. Procurement for both projects begins in September.
 
This is a standout opportunity for a Senior Buyer with a background in MEP Shell & Core and Fit-Out to advance their career with one of the UK’s largest M&E contractors, specialising in Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health systems for large-scale residential projects.
 
The Senior Buyer Role:
Participate in tender handover meetings.
Identify sourcing options and propose approved suppliers for all project packages.
Provide insights on market conditions, including availability and lead times for materials and equipment.
Advise the project team on potential discounts for quoted items.
Attend validation meetings and highlight the value added by procurement efforts.
Explore opportunities to consolidate material orders across projects for cost savings.
Understand and communicate specific delivery requirements for each project to the supply chain.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to enhance negotiation leverage and secure favourable terms.
Ensure adherence to the correct subcontract order processes and procedures.
Verify the completeness of subcontract documents and professional services agreements.
Ensure all necessary technical and commercial clauses are included in the purchase order before issuance. In return?
