The Role

As a Solutions Consultant, reporting into the Solutions Manager, you will have a direct impact on the company’s development by showcasing compelling software solutions to clients and prospects across different industry verticals.

The main components of this role will be:



Pre-Sales:

Understanding client needs in-depth as they relate to their reconciliation and automation needs, mapping out detailed reconciliation processes, and aligning on the scope of software demonstrations and proofs-of-concept. The focus is on identifying the specific reconciliation types, data sources, use cases and integrations required.

Presenting relevant versions of the Aurum software and key use cases to clients and prospects in a way that solves their core pain points.

Additionally, identifying and delivering improvements to existing offerings across industry verticals to allow ongoing expansion.



The ideal candidate will work in close partnership across the company, with the following key responsibilities:


  • Lead pre-sales discovery calls to understand prospective clients’ needs and present relevant solutions to their problem.
  • Identify opportunities to standardise offerings per industry vertical, showcasing common use cases, features, reporting capabilities, and data sources taking learnings from ongoing client interactions, demos, and proof-of-concepts.
  • Customise and adapt standard offerings to fit the unique context and requirements of individual clients while considering opportunities for cross-product standardisation when delivering demos and proof-of-concepts.
  • Assist with the selection and execution of proof-of-concepts, considering factors such as complexity, market potential, and opportunity for increased market share.
  • Document client and standard processes for knowledge sharing and ongoing improvements.


What we expect from you:

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in an auditing or accounting role at a Big 4 or a Mid Tier firm.
  • Deep understanding of Finance and Accounting processes, terms, regulations and how reconciliation software addresses the needs of Finance & Accounting professionals (our end users).
  • Desire to be heavily client-facing. Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders and clients – personable.
  • Clear appetite for working with technology, leveraging technology to address client challenges.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and context.
  • Experience working with financial applications, accounting and financial systems, and delated data.
  • Comfortable engaging both technical and non-technical clients at all seniority levels (e.g. from Reconciliation Analyst to CFO).
  • Collaborative and driven to get things done – “Can do, will do” attitude, self-driven, and desire to learn.
  • Rigorously organised and proactive with the ability to work within deadlines.
  • Great attention to detail.

  • Basic knowledge of scripting or programming languages.
