Head of Quality Assurance

Our client is an international pharmaceutical and medical device company. Founded over 20 years ago, they are growing with expanding sales across international markets.
They offer a wide range of high-quality medicines to the healthcare sector, that optimises cost efficiency whilst ensuring reliable supply. They are now looking to hire a Head of Quality Assurance to lead the Quality Assurance activities reporting to the company head of compliance. .
Responsibilities:
Establish clear and compliant GMP standards in the company
Align with the broader organisation, to ensure organisation has uniform high standards
Share best practices, for the benefit of the organisation
Establish a clear governance process
Deliver clear and concise scorecards, on a weekly basis, in conjunction with the Head of Compliance, including status and progress
Escalate issues of significance, in a timely manner
Lead and demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset
Ensure the QA team are supporting operations
Lead on Governance, Quality, GMP and GDP
Manage QA activity in relation to EU wide distribution and supply chains
Work with contract manufacturers ensuring compliance
Implement audit systems for internal audits of relevant departments
Risk governance processes, looking at understanding and proactively managing risk
Establish/Improve on metrics, to demonstrate and understand changes in the performance, in terms of Compliance
Lead a teamDuties:
Deputise for the Head of Compliance when required
Build a relationship with the tram, company, CMO's, Auditors etc.Qualifications
Ideally Degree level education or track record in a similar QA position
Pharmaceutical manufacture and Distribution (ideally generics etc).
