Our client is a well-known building society with headquarters in Swindon; As one of the largest savings and mortgage providers in the UK, 15 million members are at the heart of everything they do.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Data Analyst for a 6 Month contract based in Swindon or Northampton .

Purpose of the Role:

This role is pivotal in delivering actionable insights through advanced data analysis and reporting, thereby ensuring the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and supporting the business in mitigating risks.

As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Developing, delivering, and controlling data and analysis processes.
  • Using data effectively to provide assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Providing management information (MI) and solutions to aid decision-making.
  • Shaping, building, and managing specialist reporting and other data processes.
  • Providing business partnering support to stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into data solutions.
  • Developing and providing ad hoc analysis to support decision-making within Remediations.

What we require from the candidate:

  • Significant experience coding in Base SAS or equivalent coding-based analysis software.
  • Extensive experience understanding business needs or regulatory requirements and delivering efficient reporting and analysis solutions.
  • Proven ability to advise, challenge, and coach business stakeholders to enhance data understanding and utilization.
  • Ability to translate complex data findings into easily consumable stories that drive action.
