Prototype/Sub Assembly Mechanical Technician

• Department: Vehicle Manufacturing

• Location: Warwick Onsite Fulltime

• Contract type: 3 Months Rolling Contract

• Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday: 6am – 2pm & 2pm – 1am (rotating weekly)

We are looking for experienced Prototype Mechanical Technicians to work with one of our prestigious vehicle manufacturers. For you to be successful in this position you will be responsible for the below, but not limited to:


Responsibilities:

• Responsible for identifying all defects or damages on the prototype vehicles

• Conducting mechanical and electrical fault finding down to component level

• Working on Sub assembly (Cells)

• Using diagnostic tools to identify and rectify any problems effectively

• Responsible for the Instrumentation function dismantling, building and adding the Instrumentation points to the vehicle parts.

• Working in accordance to the statement of working requirements

• Working and following the design electrical drawings/schematics

• Conducting reworking, testing and repairing tasks on the vehicle

• Responsible for reporting all defects and repairs or rework conducted


Requirements:

• Qualified Mechanic, Level 3

• PHEV qualified (IMI level 1or 2 minimum) or HV awareness courses from OEM’s (demonstrate)

• Experience within the Automotive Vehicle Manufacturing Industry

• Previous proven working experience with EV and PHEV Vehicles at Prototype

• Proven previous experience as mechanical technician

• Working in a busy fast paced environment

• Excellent attention to detail

• Experienced in using reporting tools

• Good communication skills, teamworking abilities and initiative

• Adhering to all Company standard operating procedures

• Adhering to all health and safety procedures

• Working according to the company quality and housekeeping standards

• Must have a mechanical/coach toolkit

• Must have Hi-Vis and safety footwear

• Clean UK/ or equivalent Driving Licence
