Our client is a market leading distributor of wire cutting and die sinking machinery and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Field Service Engineer.
The Field Service Engineer be responsible for maintenance, service, repair and installation of EDM, Wire cutting and Die sinking machinery throughout the UK.
The Role:
Reporting to the Service Manager the field service engineer will be responsible for the installation, service maintenance and repair of a range of EDM equipment.
Duties will include but is not limited to the following;
Maintenance service and repair of wire cutting and die sinking machinery including mechanical and electrical fault find and and repair.
Machine installation and commissioning.
Fault find and repair work on hydraulics and some pneumatics.
Electrical maintenance work will include fault find and repair on 3 phase motors, servos, 24v circuits, (ability to read electrical schematics/drawings is essential).
Candidates:
We are seeking applicants who have good electrical and mechanical engineering skills. Ideally you will have at least three years previous maintenance experience preferably with excellent knowledge and understanding of EDM, Wire cutting and die sinking machinery.
You will be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer with excellent 3-phase electrical fault find and repair skills. Ideally you will be competent with reading plc inputs/outputs to asssit with fault find and repair.
This is a field engineer role and you will be prepared to stay away from home if required.
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday (days) 40 hour week + OT
Rewards:
Excellent basic salary £38K+OT (OTE £48K+)
