Job Title: LV/HV Cable Jointer

Location: Northamptonshire Area

Salary: Circa £55k per annum


We are seeking an experienced LV/HV Cable Jointer in the Northamptonshire area.

The successful candidate will have experience working within UK Power Networks' and hold the necessary authorisations as an Authorised Person.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform jointing, termination, and installation of LV and HV cables (up to 33kV).
  • Fault finding, diagnostics, and repair of LV/HV cable systems.
  • Work collaboratively with the project teams and report to site managers.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all health and safety guidelines.
  • Conduct site assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards or non-compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including cable jointing and terminations.
  • Ensure work is compliant with UK Power Networks' regulations and standards.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working within UK Power Networks'
  • Experience working within EPN (Eastern Power Networks) region is desirable.
  • Must be an Authorised Person (AP 33kV)
  • Proven experience as a Cable Jointer working on both LV and HV networks.
  • Familiarity with UK Power Networks' safety procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Familiarity with other DNO authorisations (UKPN LPN/SPN, SSE, WPD, etc.) is desirable.
  • Experience working in different environments (commercial, industrial, etc.) is desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence.
