We have recently introduced a Head of Business Applications to support the WMUK business to define and build new IT Services to meet rapidly evolving business needs and support business growth.

The Senior Developer/Tech Lead – Microsoft Power Platforms & Dynamics 365 role will report into the Platform Lead – MS Power Platforms and will work closely with the key business stakeholders across Wealth Management as well as Group IT and local IT teams in our other locations. 

Role Overview

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Developer to join our Business Applications function to enhance and optimise our use of the Microsoft Power Platform with Dynamics 365. As a Senior Developer, you will have a key role in the development and ongoing improvement of our Dynamics 365 and Power Platforms estate to support our business operations & growth goal. You will work closely with stakeholders across all parts of the business to understand their requirements, and lead a high performing team of developers that will design and customise the system to meet these requirements and deliver high-quality solutions whilst ensuring strong adherence data accuracy and integrity guidelines.

You are pragmatic and able to balance business needs and complexity. You keep pace with technology trends in the Power Platforms arena and foster a culture of continuous improvement - learning from past challenges and being able to suggest and lead innovations in the Power Platforms space. You will also work closely with Business and IT teams across the division and wider group, ensuring Power Platforms and Dynamics 365 are maintainable and supportable and best practices are adopted in the design and development of the platform.

The role is based in London but occasionally you may be expected to travel to other locations as the role demands.

Responsibilities

  • Development & Coding:
    • Lead the coding and development of innovative solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform including Dynamics 365, Power Automate, and PowerApps.
  • Solution Support & Improvement:
    • Provide ongoing support and continuous improvement for existing solutions.
    • Ensure appropriate governance and support documentation is in place.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work as the technical lead within the change portfolio for the Power Platforms and Dynamics 365 and communicate necessary updates to stakeholders around the business.
  • Solution Design:
    • Lead the technical design and architecture of our solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform including Dynamics 365, Power Automate, and PowerApps.
    • Liaise with the group functions to ensure our solution adheres to group standards across architecture, security and integration.
  • Performance & Monitoring:
    • Ensure adequate monitoring for each solution is in place, and that the necessary processes and procedures are in place to respond to alerts and incidents.
    • Ensure that environments are sized correctly, and end user solutions perform within accepted parameters.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Ensure that the change portfolio for the Power Platforms and Dynamics 365 is communicated to the necessary stakeholders.
    • Provide status updates for use in monthly reporting.
    • Work with other teams from across the division and group in geographically dispersed locations

Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Senior Developer working with Power Platforms/Dynamics 365.
  • Proficiency in configuring and customizing Dynamics 365.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience at leading a team of developers
  • Experience with data integration and migration.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
