This role offers the chance to support the successful delivery of crucial water & wastewater projects, ensuring they meet all time, budget, scope, and quality objectives. You will collaborate with the project team to develop, procure and deliver complex major projects at large sewage treatment works at various sites.
What you would be doing as a Project Engineer:
· Identify and develop new opportunities for projects through business relationships.
· Clearly define the project scope and maintain control at all times using company project processes and procedures.
· Identify engineering challenges and implement solution to overcome.
· Ensure management and customers are kept fully informed on all project progress against plan.
· Control scope through the use of the change management procedure.
· Ensure the business and clients’ interests are a priority at all times.
· Operate project within allocated budget constraints and report unexpected variance at the earliest opportunity.
· Maintain accurate risk and issue register and develop mitigating actions to address both. Obtain the relevant TWOSA, TCOP and permits to work on behalf of the business, if needed.
· Point of contact for engineers and technicians on a daily basis both regarding the contract and technical queries.
· Incorporate the Gel Mission, Vision, and Values into every day.
· Prepare risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) as required.
· Prepare handover reports for customers as necessary.
· Complete all system processes in line with the management system.
· Keep senior management up to date at all times on project delivery.
· Liaise with procurement concerning suppliers, deliveries and ordering.
· Monitor sub-contractors to ensure guidelines and compliance are maintained.
What you should bring to the role:
· Working knowledge of on-site engineering projects.
· Previous experience in the water industry (preferred not essential).
· HND qualification within engineering.
