We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to be employed on a 12-month fixed-term contract for an established organisation within the print sector.
This is a great role for someone with 5+ years of experience in a similar setting and who has an understanding of UK GAAP and basic tax matters.

Responsibilities include:
Oversee accruals and pre-payments, prepare stock and other GL journals.
Ensure all balances are reconciled before closing.
Corporate Hyperion submissions per Group timetable.
Local management submissions per agreed timetable.
Review performance against budget and investigate variances.
Ensure regular balance reviews are performed accurately.
Ensure sales invoices and customer receipts are issued promptly to ensure minimal overdue balances.
Ensure bank reconciliations are performed to agreed timescales.
Prepare/approve bank payments in compliance with agreed terms.
Production of annual budgets including regular performance reviews.
Preparation of local statutory accounts, audit packs and tax info packs.
To assist in the implementation of current Manufacturing Information System (CERM) and or other future automated systems and recommend changes as required.Requirements include:
Professional Accounting Qualification or Qualified by Experience (at least 5 years).
Technical knowledge and understanding of UK GAAP and basic tax matters.
Interpretation/analytical skills - ability to "look beyond the numbers".
Ability to work to strict deadline and deal well with time pressures.
Ability to manage people through a period of system and process changes.
Innovative to recommend change where appropriate to enhance speed, quality and efficiency of reporting.Please note this position is in office and only suitable for candidates who are already able to live and work in the UK without restriction.
