Agile Delivery Lead

We are currently seeking a dynamic, collaborative and driven Agile Delivery Lead to oversee agile development projects as well as leading the agile delivery function in line with strategic direction. The Agile Delivery Lead oversees projects that follow agile methodology governing delivery from requirements inception all the way into and including production being a buffer between the business and the agile delivery teams.
Alongside this the Agile Delivery Lead will play a key part in constructing an Agile Delivery framework fit for the business as well as being a key leader in the transition to this framework.
Please note candidates must be within commuting distance of our Weybridge office as you will operate in a hybrid setting, 2 days onsite - 3 days WFH.
Key Responsibilities:nSupporting and assisting the Product Owners, especially with respect to refinement and maintaining the product backlog.nEnsure the appropriate level of resource and expertise is in place and that this is structured in the most effective way to deliver the strategy.nAdvocate for Agile principles and practices, leading teams in the adoption of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe, and ensuring consistent implementation across projectsnGuiding the teams and organisation on how to use Agile practices and valuesnGuiding the teams on how to get the most out of self-organisationnRemoving impediments or guiding the teams to remove impediments by finding the right solution or person to remove the impedimentnBuilding a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solvingnFacilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolutionnAssisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating informationnWork with Change Management to schedule release of your teams worknCreate rollout plans for work delivered across production & non-production environmentsnDefine and track relevant project metrics, providing regular and accurate updates on project status, risks, and performance to stakeholders and leadershipnInput into Programme level updates feeding into SLTnManaging 3rd parties that form part of agile delivery teamnWork with Tech team to manage and prioritise technical debt & NFR’snTrack teams delivery quality accounting for bug rates and issues found in E2E environmentsnUnderstand path to production and work to ensure changes are released into productionnEnsuring the team follow Engineering best practices such as CI/CD, TDD, Code Quality, Unit Testing…nManage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost-effectiveness throughout the project lifecyclenConstructing an Agile Delivery framework & leading transition to itnEngage and collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure alignment between project goals and business objectivesnCollaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define project scope, prioritize features, and create actionable plans that align with business objectives
Role Requirements:nMust have significant relevant experience in IT Delivery Roles, including experience in 24/7 high-availability multi-site enterprise environmentnExperience in delivering projects E2E from requirements inception through to productionnExperience in Projection Management practices that lend themselves to Agile WoWnExperience in managing production releases, working with partner and digging into runbooks as and when needednWorking knowledge of Microsoft stacksnKnowledge and experience of working within a DevOps / Continuous Delivery framework through the Software Development LifecyclenPrevious experience of implementing and rolling out Agile within an organisationnExperience of onboarding suppliers/partners/business areas into the scrum/agile methodologynExperience of managing external and internal parties as combined scrum teamsnExperience playing the Scrum Master role for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.nExcellent communication and mentoring skillsnKnowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc)nExperience of digital platform delivery through agile ways of workingnExperience of using Jira/ConfluencenReporting delivery progress up to SLTnWilling and able to travel in the UK and occasionally internationally as required.
Desirable:nWorking knowledge of Oracle stacksnExperience of QA and testing methodsnScrum Master certification (CSP, PSM II)nKnowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, FDD, etc…nKnowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile GamesnExperience of working with large scale ERP technology integrationnExperience as a Development ManagernTechnical background in Web/Cloud DevelopmentnExperience as a Project Manager or similar role
