What You’ll Do

Principal's Global Equity team is searching for an experienced Consumer Staples analyst. This candidate will work with a diverse team of portfolio managers and analysts supporting research and recommendations

In this role, you’ll be able to:nProvide and continue to build expertise Globally in the Consumer Staples sector;nPartner closely with other analysts and portfolio managers to provide outperformance through stock selection, while working within the framework of our process and portfolio constraints;nMonitor, research, and analyze industry and worldwide economic conditions. Independently analyze the impact economic and industry trends have on specific investments and convey findings to senior staff;nIn conjunction with senior analysts, apply company and economic analysis to project revenue and net income performance for specific companies and industries. Within current firm strategy, recommend investments that will result in profitable results; and;nProvide buy, sell, and hold recommendations consistent with our investment philosophy

Principal Asset Management offers global asset management expertise across a diverse set of traditional and alternative asset classes. We seek companies demonstrating positive fundamental change, with exploitable expectation gaps and pricing anomalies. Our conviction is centered on bottom-up fundamental insights while remaining macro-aware.

Who You ArenMBA or Master of Science with finance emphasis and Chartered Financial Analyst designation (or progress towards CFA);n2 years (five highly preferred) equity investment experience ;nGlobal equity experience in the Consumer sector;nUse of proprietary quantitative tools demonstrating experience in fundamental analysis;nKnowledge of sophisticated investment vehicles, thorough understanding of firm's investment strategy and philosophy, business acumen, analytical, superior judgment, and total rate of return mentality.

Location(s)nBased in our London office. This role offers hybrid working, with four days a week in the office.
