About the Role: As a Dimensional Control Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the Geomatics department, reporting directly to the Geomatics Technical Director. Your contributions will be vital to the success of our division, and you will lead and support various dimensional control projects. This role will give you the opportunity to work on complex fieldwork projects, assist with technical queries, and liaise with clients to provide high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
Work under the regulations and requirements of the industry.
Assist with technical aspects of conducting dimensional control survey operations, including data acquisition, processing, and reporting.
Solve technical problems for colleagues working remotely and assist with technical queries from clients and team members.
Compile and maintain company survey procedures.
Collaborate with a team of technical specialists and contribute to survey strategies for current and future projects.
Liaise with clients to provide tenders and results in appropriate formats.
Support the Geomatics Technical Director to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Develop an extensive knowledge of dimensional control and department processes.
Report any potential technical issues to the Geomatics Technical Director and/or Managing Director.
Assist with quality assurance for projects within the Geomatics department.Day-to-Day Duties:
Project administration, client liaison, and resource allocation (staff, equipment, vehicles, HSE).
Conduct complex fieldwork projects.
Maintain and calibrate survey equipment.
Acquire and process dimensional control data, and assist colleagues with technical issues during fieldwork.
Liaise with clients through various communication channels and attend site meetings as required.
Maintain and update project information using project management software.
Communicate project risks to survey managers regarding milestones and deadlines.Requirements:
Competence in all land surveying procedures.
Knowledge of hydrographic sensors used on survey vessels (MBES, GNSS, USBL, MRU, IMU, INS).
Proficiency with land survey instrumentation and software (Total Station, GNSS, Laser Scanner).
Excellent communication skills at all levels, both internally and externally.Additional Opportunities:
