Data Product Manager

Knowledge services:

we have an unrivalled strategic advisory capability for Governments, cities and sports bodies:n• We advise on the role of sport and physical activity in social and economic transformationn• We develop, implement, and evaluate sport and physical activity strategies, including programmes that activatenpeople and places via digital transformationn• The bidding, planning and delivery of the ‘full life cycle’ of major sporting events i.e., Olympics, World RugbynWorld Cup, Pan American Games, FIFA World Cup etc

Technology products:

our proprietary software and data platforms allows clients to connect and use multiple datansources and develop actionable insight and business management systems.

Our product suite is made up of a number of client facing SaaS offers which use data derived from multiple sourcesne.g. leisure management systems, wearable technology, community programming, major sporting eventnengagement, and healthcare providers. Connecting and standardising this data positions 4GLOBAL uniquely in thenprovision of the following services:

• Predict the likely outcomes of significant investment in sport and physical activity programmes at a local andnnational leveln• Benchmark the impact of new sports and activity investmentsn• Analyse the actual behaviours of citizens and how they participate (or not) in sport and activity programmesn• Target certain citizens to maximise the impact of specific programmes nationally or at a granular grass roots leveln• Set the industry standard used to provide data driven insight to inform investments in sport and physical activitynprogrammesn• Work with our clients to predict what will drive participation This cannot be replicated without the data that wencurrently hold; We have a monopoly in this insight capability

Job Description – Data Product Manager

As a Data Product Manager at 4GLOBAL, reporting to the Product Delivery Director, you will be at the forefront ofnmanaging the integration of data from over 30 provider companies into the DataHub, including leisurenmanagement systems, membership management systems, and various public and private data sources. Your rolenextends to maintaining the highest data quality in our database, generating data logic for key performance indicatorn(KPI) calculations for our core products and services, and overseeing the development of APIs by the technical team.nThis position demands a blend of technical acumen, project management skills, and a deep understanding of data'snrole in product development and enhancement.

Responsibilities:

• Data Integration Management:

Oversee the integration process with data provider companies, ensuringnaccurate data matching and seamless setup of new integrations.n• Quality Assurance and Data Logic Development:

Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data within ourndatabase. Develop and maintain the logic for KPI calculations that underpin our core products and services,nworking closely with the technical team to implement these via API development.n• Technical Liaison and Support Coordination:

Serve as a bridge between the technical team and data providersnto facilitate the development and implementation of integrations. Assist the support team in resolvingnintegration-related issues, providing expertise to ensure continuous operation.n• Data Quality Control:

Implement and maintain best practices for data management, continuously monitoringnand enhancing the quality of data in our database.n• Project Scoping and Stakeholder Engagement:

Define requirements and scope for new integration projects,nensuring alignment with company goals and client needs. Engage with internal and external stakeholders,neffectively communicating project statuses and addressing any concerns related to data integration.n• Performance analysis:

Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success andnimpact of data in the products. Use data-driven insights to iterate on product features and improve overallnperformance.

Essential skills, qualifications, and experience:n• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or a related field.n• Proven experience in data management, integration, or a similar role, preferably within the sports, leisure, ornhealth sector.n• Strong understanding of data structures, databases, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and APIndevelopment.n• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.n• Proficient in project management and communication.n• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.n• ensure you differentiate essential skills, qualifications, and experience.n• A proactive nature and a hard-working and self-motivated mentality and attitude.

Desirable skills, qualifications, and experience:n• Experience with SaaS products and cloud-based data services.n• Knowledge of data privacy and security standards.n• Understanding of the sports and physical activity sector.n• Any language skills or professional qualifications
