About the role…nWe are now looking for a talented
Corporate Legal Counsel
to join our team in the UK. As the Corporate Legal Counsel ,
you will proactively contribute to the legal function of the organisation by providing timely and accurate legal advice, mitigating legal risks, facilitating business transactions, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
The
Corporate Legal Counsel
will be responsible for.nCommercial Contract ManagementnDrafting, assessing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, encompassing service agreements, licensing agreements, and vendor contracts.nEnsuring alignment of contracts with company policies, legal mandates, and industry regulations.nProving legal counsel to internal stakeholders regarding contract interpretation, rights, and obligations.
Corporate SupportnSupporting in corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.nConducting legal due diligence and contributing to the creation of transactional documents.nSupporting corporate governance activities, encompassing board meetings and record-keeping.
Compliance and Regulatory SupportnStay abreast of pertinent laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting the clinical trials sector.nContributing to the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.nConducting compliance training for employees and ensure adherence to regulatory stipulations.
General Legal Support:nProviding legal guidance and assistance on a variety of matters arising during business operations.nCollaborating with internal departments to address legal issues and mitigate risks.nAssisting in dispute resolution and manage litigation matters, as necessary.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications…nWe are seeking individuals with outstanding communication skills and strong commercial awareness, capable of influencing and persuading at a senior level. Key to this role are risk management, creative thinking, and problem-solving abilities, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
We are looking for the following requirements.
Essential requirements…nLLB / Bachelor of Law qualification, or equivalent.nAdmission to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) in England and Wales or a comparable body in a similar jurisdiction.nA minimum of two years, post qualification experience in a law firm, commercial legal department, or relevant practice area.nComprehensive understanding of contract law, commercial transactions, and corporate governance principles.nProficiency in the use of MS Office, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
DesirablenFamiliarity with UK and EU healthcare regulations and clinical trial processes is advantageous, but not essential.nExperience of successfully collaborating with global teams would be beneficial.
