1. Cost Estimation: Work closely with senior quantity surveyors and directors to assist in estimating project costs, including materials, labour, and overhead expenses.
2. Budget Monitoring: Help monitor project budgets, track expenses, and provide regular financial updates to project managers, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.
3. Tendering and Procurement: Support the preparation of tender documents, evaluate bids, and assist in managing the procurement process to meet project requirements.
4. Measurement and Valuation: Perform quantity take-offs and valuations of ongoing work, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
5. Contract Administration: Assist in the administration of contracts, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions while helping to resolve any contractual issues that arise.
6. Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate records of all quantity surveying activities, including measurements, valuations, and relevant correspondence.
7. Risk Management: Identify potential cost-related risks and advise on appropriate mitigation strategies.
8. Client Communication: Engage effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, addressing queries and providing necessary financial updates.
