Associate / Principal Electrical Engineer - Plymouth

We are proud to be working aside a highly renowned and passionate design consultancy specialising in Building Services as they expand their Engineering team in the South West, and adding to the senior management team. Right now, our client is seeking a Senior character, ideally of an Associate or Principal level of experience, to join them as an Electrical Engineer. Required to be possessing relevant degrees, however open to discussions with those holding equivalent M&E construction experience, authority, and varying qualifications or experience in M&E design.

Established 70+ years’ ago, our client is a renowned and decorated Design Consultancy working nationally. Specialising in all aspects of M&E, Public Health & Sustainable Design services. Daily Duties of an Electrical Engineer:
Reporting to various Directors; responsible for resourcing within the electrical team
Managing a team of Engineers including Junior Engineers, Apprentices and Graduates
Produce design deliverables (including drawings, specifications & reports)
Check calculations and production of detailed drawings to ensure engineering designs meet appropriate quality and compliance controls, project briefs and customer requirements
Client-facing, making client presentations on selected projects
Plus, all traditional duties expected of a Senior / Associate Engineer What you’ll need to succeed as an Electrical Engineer:
BEng (Hons) in Electrical Engineering / Building Services Engineering or relevant equivalent
Relevant professional affiliation / chartership (ERICS / IEng / CEng / MCIBSE etc)
Demonstrating a minimum of 3 years’ Building Services design professional background
Understanding of commercial elements of projects
Experience in software design including IES, Revit or Hevacomp is highly desired but non-essential In return, we are offering an exciting prospect for the right individual to join an expanding team with this opportunity to take the lead as Associate Electrical Engineer.
