We are seeking a visionary Director of Engineering to join our prestigious team, with a specific focus on Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operations.
Key Responsibilities of the Director of Engineering:
- Lead the engineering team at our MRO-focused site, overseeing the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of avionics electronic components and units.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring our MRO operations remain at the cutting edge of industry standards and best practices in avionics electronics.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including operations, quality assurance, and supply chain to optimise processes and enhance efficiency in avionics electronics maintenance.
- Develop strategic plans and goals for engineering operations, aligning with business objectives and customer requirements in avionics electronics.
- Foster a culture of excellence and accountability, empowering team members to achieve their full potential and deliver exceptional results in avionics electronics.
Qualifications of the Director of Engineering:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Extensive experience in engineering leadership roles within the aerospace and avionics industry, with a strong background in electronics or mechatronics within avionics.
- Proven track record of success in equipment maintenance and fault finding, aswell as design, manufacture and testing of Avionics equipment
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards a shared vision in avionics electronics.
- Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities and a passion for driving continuous improvement in avionics electronics.
