Job Title: Road Coordinator
Locations: TamworthDuties:
Support the Land Freight Supervisor in carrying out their responsibilities, aligning with the Head of Road goal to enhance the company's competitiveness and profitability.
Understand and implement the department's vision for effective business development, focusing on successful Import/Export land freight operations, warehouse activities, and logistics services.
Manage client and subcontractor relationships in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
Ensure accurate and timely invoicing for all customers and clients, following SOP guidelines.
Complete all Import/Export processes correctly and on schedule, including financial, legal, and invoicing tasks.
Oversee the timely completion of all operational activities.
Maintain ongoing communication with sales teams, reporting new leads and handing over shipments.
Communicate quotations to the line manager or sales team within two hours of receipt, ensuring all quotes are documented in a standardised format.
Report internal leads to customer service and sales teams.
Collaborate with credit control to follow up on overdue customer payments.Skills & Competencies:
At least 6 months of experience in a forwarding agent environment (import or export).
Previous experience as a Road Freight Operator or a similar role preferred .
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
Ability to prioritise tasks independently while also working effectively as part of a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in IT tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and CRM systems.
Demonstrated experience in administrative functions.
