Role:nThe Construction Assurance Manager provides construction assurance, working with the Quality Manager and Client assurance teams to demonstrate that company and client construction quality procedures are being followed and that work is being delivered to a high standard. Where necessary you works to correct non- compliances, provide training and improvements to process guidance and procedures.
Role SummarynAcross a portfolio of many projects, the CAM manages technical quality assurance for construction, commissioning, and defects rectification activities for Water/Wastewater Networks as appropriate.nLiaison with Operations and sub-contractors to support approval of submissions and passing through key milestones.nSupporting contractor and Operations liaison during the design, delivery and commissioning process, ensuring zero customer down time, monitoring SLA's and KPIsnEnsuring buildability, efficient and effective delivery whilst safeguarding our technical compliance to client and industry requirementsnMonitoring compliance with client asset standards, safety, environmental and quality standards and with wider regulations.nSupporting the assessment and appointment of subcontractors and review of their procedures, method statements and technical delivery standpoint.nPromoting innovation, best practice, and compliance with quality standards, communicating information, and providing support and training to other members of the team on technical quality matters as required.nSupport of design reviews from a technical delivery standpointnAssessment and reporting of project quality issues.nMonitoring and review of component (FAT / SAT) and commissioning testing.nManaging, monitoring, and reviewing the takeover and defects throughout all projects.
Essential QualificationsnChartered Engineer or substantial experience in a similar role
Desirable QualificationsnKnowledge and understanding of the processes used in Water/Wastewater Networks is desirable.nPrevious experience in the Utility industry (water/wastewater experience is an advantage but not essential).nExperience in a people management role.nUnderstanding of the development of design, specification, construction, and operation of above and below ground projects.nUnderstanding of performance and quality management.nStrategic and innovative approach to problem-solving.nIT literate and familiar with document management systems
