We are is seeking a dedicated and qualified Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team. This permanent position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive environment focused on the well-being and safety of children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
* Caseload Management: Handle a diverse caseload of children with varying levels of need and complexity.
* Assessment and Planning: Conduct regular assessments, apply thresholds, and create comprehensive care plans.
* Direct Work: Perform home visits, direct work with children and families, and maintain detailed case records in line with policies and procedures.
* Collaborative Efforts: Work collaboratively with Kingston and Richmond Safeguarding Teams and specialist workers to foster positive and sustainable change for families.
* Families First Model: Implement the Families First model to prevent case escalation and ensure children remain safely at home.
* Support Access: Utilize the support of Social Work Assistants, Family Support Workers, Family Coaches, Domestic Abuse specialists, Adult Mental Health specialists, Drug and Alcohol specialists, and a Systemic Family Psychotherapist.
* Supervision and Development: Engage in reflective supervision every four weeks and contribute to a supportive team environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Education: Diploma in Social Work, CQSW, or CSS (Passed).
* Experience: Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding within a social work setting.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Signs of Safety Practice model and experience working with families to establish safety and support networks.
* Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
* Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a complex caseload effectively.
Candidate Requirements:
Candidate completed their ASYE year Preferred
A candidate got 3 years of post-qualifying experience is preferred
Additional Attributes: Excellent Interpersonal Skills Both Written And Verbal
