Civil Engineer

We’re working with a local contractor to recruit someone with experience of working with temporary works and lifting operations. The business has an established client base in Hampshire with a great variation of works in a marine and civils environment such as sheet piling and coastal defence, roads and infrastructure as well as a lot of concrete works which require crane lifts (up to 240tn).
The role will suit someone from an engineering background, or possibly a lifting supervisor. You will join and established team and support each Contracts Manager and Site Manager, splitting your time between the office and on site.
In the role you will work on projects from tender stage, inputting into temporary works and the design, creating solutions by value engineering on site, and getting on site to manage and bring projects together by managing successful lifts.
Key duties:
* Input into tender stage design working with the inhouse and external designers
* Identifying required temporary works
* Writing lift plans
* Supervise lifts on site (variety of lifts and plant)
