£20.50 per hour/Circa £41k per annum (inclusive of shift allowance)
Overtime available at time ½ & double time

THE BUSINESS
 
Westray Recruitment Group are seeking a CNC Miller to join our client based in Newcastle. The company in question have great reputation as a local manufacturer and have been operating within their sector for over 40 years. Our client are offering a competitive package with a permanent contract for someone who can operate Mazak machinery with Mazatrol controls please read on.
 
THE ROLE
Develop the optimal sequence of operations for each task.
Choose the suitable cutting tools for each specific cut.
Determine the appropriate cutting speeds.
Set and maintain tolerances.
Accurately position sections for cutting.
Translate instructions into a numerical program for computer execution.
Ensure that all work meets quality and technical standards.
Perform routine maintenance on machine tools.
Handle programming tasks.  
THE PERSON
Proficient in milling with extensive experience.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and instructions.
Experience with Mazatrol programming.
Inspect raw materials for dimensions, quantity, defects, and required certifications.
Verify that finished work meets specified dimensions and requirements.
Adherence to safe work practices.
