Workshop Assistant

Our client has an opportunity for a Workshop Assistant to join their team based at their site in Poole.
The Role
You will be responsible for the sawing and issuing of material both internal and external and for the provision of general support to the team, as needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for carrying out sawing duties in compliance with work orders and specifications relating to size, materials, and quantity.
* Inspecting material certificates against demand.
* Self-inspection of billets dimensions cut.
* Working with minimal supervision.
* Issuing material to work order demand for capturing costs and traceability.
* Boxing and packing material to be shipped to supplier, and providing weights dims to dispatch.
* Reporting of any problems or concerns to Production Manager
* Material stocktaking.
* Safely unloading and correct storage of raw materials.
* Safe material handling practice.
* Adhere to all DTI policies and procedures.
* To carry out other duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications
* Punctual, tidy and efficient.
* Experienced using bandsaw machines.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experienced within ISO 9001/API background.
* Ability to work under pressure where necessary.
* Strict health and safety practice.
* Must hold a UK driving license
