We are seeking a skilled Production Manager to oversee and manage daily operations in my clients joinery workshop. You will ensure that production teams work efficiently, meet project deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management:
Manage workloads for the Bench Joinery and Machinist teams, ensuring efficient work allocation.
Collaborate with the Finishing Manager to ensure smooth transitions between assembly and finishing stages.
Prepare joinery projects, including full-size rod drawings, and manage manufacturing tasks.
Workshop Oversight:
Maintain the workshop's cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.
Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors and staff in the workshop.
Team Leadership:
Lead and develop your team, providing clear communication, support, and guidance.
Conduct appraisals, set objectives, and support team members' professional growth.
Programming & Scheduling:
Prepare task schedules and allocate jobs to maximize workshop output.
Health & Safety:
Promote and maintain high standards of safety, health, and environmental controls.
Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations.
Transportation & Delivery:
Coordinate with Site Managers for timely delivery of products and organize transportation.
Quality Control:
Ensure quality standards are met at every stage of production through inspections and final sign-offs.
Requirements:
Experience in workshop management, particularly in joinery or related fields.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
