Are you passionate about Design and Technology and looking to inspire the next generation of innovators? Our secondary schools in Braintree are seeking dedicated D & T Teachers to join our team starting in September 2024.
As a D & T Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons in Design and Technology, fostering creativity and technical skills among students. You will be instrumental in guiding students through practical and theoretical aspects of the subject, preparing them for future educational and career opportunities in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Design and Technology that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
Encourage and support students in developing their practical skills and theoretical understanding.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting achievable targets.
Maintain a safe and organized learning environment, ensuring all equipment and materials are used correctly and safely.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the D & T curriculum and participate in extracurricular activities.
Ideal Candidate:
Strong background in Design and Technology, with relevant teaching qualifications and experience.
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
A creative and innovative approach to teaching and learning.
As a D & T Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' educational journeys. Your passion for Design and Technology and your commitment to excellence in teaching will help shape the future of our students.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Design and Technology.
Proven experience teaching Design and Technology at the secondary school level.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to D & T activities.
