Job Description:
As a Construction Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. You will work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and workers to promote a culture of safety and mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Identify potential hazards and implement effective risk management strategies.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on health and safety best practices.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and recommend preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
- Prepare and present reports on health and safety performance to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or CSP is highly desirable.
- Minimum of (X) years of experience in construction health and safety management.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
