About the Role:
As a Water Hygiene Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of water systems through routine inspections, testing, and maintenance. Your expertise will help prevent risks associated with waterborne pathogens, such as Legionella, while conducting crucial services like TMV (Thermostatic Mixing Valve) servicing and remedial works. This hands-on role offers the chance to make a real impact in public health while working in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Water Monitoring & Testing: Perform regular water sampling, temperature monitoring, and Legionella testing to ensure compliance with health regulations.
* TMV Servicing: Conduct routine inspections and servicing of Thermostatic Mixing Valves to maintain safe water temperatures.
* Remedial Works: Carry out remedial tasks, including cleaning, descaling, and system disinfections, to ensure water quality is maintained.
* Water System Maintenance: Assist with the chlorination of water systems, such as storage tanks and pipework, to ensure cleanliness and compliance.
* Inspection & Compliance: Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and audits to meet L8 regulations and industry standards.
* Client Communication: Work closely with clients to discuss findings, provide recommendations, and implement solutions, ensuring top-notch customer service.
* Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records of testing, inspections, and remedial work, in line with health and safety standards.
