We're looking for a Head Dive Coach who will lead from the front and by example, who will relish the chance to lead the diving strategy and delivery across our participation, talent development and elite pathways. You will oversee all aspects of diving and aim to put one of the squad in the 2028 Olympics
We are looking for someone who is passionate about Diving but also really likes making a difference in people’s lives and the community. We want our whole team to strive to deliver the best customer service and to motivate our members to lead healthier and happier lives.
What does the role entail?
It goes without saying that the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate and lead a team. Some other key parts of the role include:
- Write, communicate and implement a new strategic plan for diving working with key stakeholders.
- To ensure a clear plan for diving from talent identification, participation to competitive levels
- To grow the participation levels of diving & the diving squad
- To bid for grant funding
- To lead, develop and mentor a team of coaches
- To liaise with Swim England, British Diving and other agencies involved in the promotion and development of diving.
What do I need for the role?
Aside from being passionate about Diving and developing and inspiring the next generation, you will need
- Safeguarding qualification
- Diving Coach Certificate or Level 2 Diving Coach Award
- Pool Lifeguard Qualification or Rescue Test for Teachers and Coaches
- Passion for diving and a strong desire to help divers achieve their goals.
