Heriot Brown is partnered with a large media & telecommunications business looking for a Legal Counsel to join their team on a permanent basis.


In this role, the Legal Counsel will be responsible for providing legal expertise and guidance across various commercial and technology-driven initiatives.


Key responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, with a focus on technology, telecommunications, and procurement agreements, including SaaS and PaaS.
  • Advising on intellectual property matters, ensuring the protection of rights related to new technologies and innovations.
  • Offering solution-oriented legal advice that aligns with the commercial objectives and business needs of the company.
  • Staying informed about developments in data protection laws and ensuring compliance within the company’s operations.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across different jurisdictions, managing cross-border legal issues, and applying relevant legal frameworks.
  • Supporting the company’s mission to innovate by exploring and advising on new technologies and connectivity solutions.


Requirements:

  • 2+ PQE
  • Strong background drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, either in-house or private practice
  • Happy with occasional travel in the South East.
