Our client has a role for a PHP Developer who loves games (video, board & TTRPG), challenges, and code. Their team enjoys coding, gaming, and building their own SaaS projects for fun.

They focus on ability rather than experience, and they will help you develop your skills further. They also believe in a good work/life balance and have shorter working hours.

If you have a strong working knowledge of Magento 2, a passion for coding, and a love for gaming, get in touch.

You will need a great working knowledge of the following:

• Modern PHP
• HTML + CSS
• Modern JavaScript
• MySQL/MariaDB
• Git
• Composer

You will also need to feel comfortable with:

• Magento 2 Full Stack - setup, migration, upgrading, and updating
• APIs
• Caching (Redis)

It's an advantage if you also have experience with:

• JavaScript frameworks such as Vue/React or similar
• Linux server management
• Apache or Nginx
• DNS, SSL & Domain management

What the role involves:

• Being part of a development team that is responsible for all aspects of ongoing software development
• Be comfortable with using Git to collaborate with other developers
• Writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code
• Troubleshooting, testing, supporting software and databases
• Organising your projects and communications with the team and clients
• Follow industry best practices

Salary/hours: £27,000 to £37,000 per year, depending on ability and experience. Working Monday to Friday 9am to 4:30pm.
