Inspection & Test Technician
Location: Merthyr Tydfil
Salary range £27K to £34K depending on experience and qualifications
 
4 days per week – Monday to Thursday – 7:00am to 5:00pm – Every Friday off
(the successful candidate should be willing to do overtime on some Fridays – as the site is really busy).
There is also the possibility of doing the regular working hours over 5 days, instead of 4.
Duties
Ensuring that vehicles are made to the highest standards
Complete Acceptance Tests of newly built & uplifted armoured vehicles to the specifications provided
Maintain accurate record of faults found and repairs carried out
Accurate record keeping
Operating within Health and Safety practices
Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Requirements
General knowledge of assembly operations, repair techniques and fault finding
Ability to read assembly documentation such as drawings and work instructions
Good all round Mechanical and/or Electrical aptitude
Ability to work at heights and in restricted spaces
Full UK Driving License (Cat H advantageous)
Flexible to meet the demands of the business
A can do attitude and a strong work ethic
Good understanding of Health and Safety regulations
