Are you an experienced Manual Machinist, Turner, and Miller? Do you enjoy solving engineering queries?
We have an opportunity for a technical, enthusiastic, and energetic Machinist to join our team, where no two days are the same.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a team of highly experienced Machinists in our innovative workshop, building a variety of equipment in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
You will be machining pump components, shafts, impellers, and parts off of industrial water, chemical, vacuum pumps, and all types of rotating equipment.
Other duties to assist in the machining and repair of rotating equipment include:
Machining accurately from drawings and samples.
Utilising remedial and reverse engineering practices - salvage bushes, shaft reclamation, etc.
Recording dimensions and ensuring documentation is actioned and completed.
Working as part of a busy team.
Benefits
Remuneration range: £26.5k - £35k plus overtime depending on experience and qualifications

Additional Information
The working hours for this Machinist role are Monday to Thursday, 8.00-16.30, and Friday, 8.00-15.30, totalling a 39-hour week with half-hour lunch breaks, plus overtime when required.
Essential Skills
The successful candidate must be a time-served and accurate machinist (CGLI Part 3, ONC, NVQ Level 2+ or equivalent)
Working knowledge of centre lathes, borers, milling, slotting and radial arm drills
Good engineering knowledge/skills required - working to close tolerances
Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a workshop
Assembly work with components may also be required
Demanding positions with some lifting involved, mainly using mechanical aids
Good documentation skills required
Desirable Skills
You will need a can-do approach
Organised and able to work to agreed time scales
Clean and presentable appearance
