There’s a permanent opportunity for you here as a QSHE Manager working to support our Projects team. This role requires national travel


The Role

  • Review all Project work procedures to ensure that they are meeting the required industry safety standards.
  • Monitoring and reviewing project safety performance across all Dalkia Facilities Contracts.
  • Active participation in local and senior project management meetings.
  • Ensure safe installation of equipment and managing and monitoring of sub-contractors used across Projects.
  • Undertake Health & Safety Inspections and Audits as directed by the QSHE Director.
  • Advising on all aspects of Health, Safety and Welfare across all Projects within the Business.
  • Lead on any investigations into any accidents/incidents which may occur across Dalkia Facilities Projects.
  • Be available on call to respond within a specified time period to any accidents/incidents which may occur.
  • Prepare and present reports as and when required for both the QSHE and Projects Director
  • Develop and deliver health and safety training to any areas identified.
  • Identifying Project specific objectives and delivering these in conjunction with the overall business planning.
  • Support and mentor the Projects QSHE Advisor where appropriate in advising the project teams on current and forthcoming issues.
  • Work collaboratively with external and internal departments to ensure smooth running of health and safety on site, taking appropriate action to address issues or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Contribution to the National QSHE Team in the strategic direction and development to review policy, procedures and promote a good safety culture.
  • Client liaison and completion of health and safety / statutory compliance audits.
  • Liaising with the QSHE Director, Projects Director and the Project Teams to ensure consistency of a Health & Safety approach across all Dalkia Facilities Projects.
  • Co-ordination of quality processes and internal auditing.
  • Review, develop and ensure implementation of Safety, Quality and Environmental systems, procedures and policies.
  • Ensuring that the documentation used within the contract meets ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards and that of the wider Dalkia Business
  • Site inspections, audits, training, advice, and support to all projects across the Dalkia Facilities Business.
  • Follow up and where possible ensure that all actions / non compliances resulting from the audit or inspection are completed.
  • Undertake all forms of risk assessments as and when required within the business.
  • Follow up and where possible complete all actions or improvements resulting from the above risk assessments.


Hours of Work

  • Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5pm, 40 hours per week

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • NEBOSH Diploma
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Construction, M&E and Project experience
  • Working on CDM Projects
  • Flexible approach to all work activities and a willingness to support other business activities as appropriate.
  • Experience of implementing and reviewing systems.
  • Experience of legislation and statutory compliance within the Projects sector.
  • Experience and understanding of ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
  • Good PC Skills – word, excel knowledge is essential.
  • Professional approach to work in all areas.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Excellent influencing skills.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company Standards and Procedures.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK as and when required.
