Learning Mentor Required – Mansfield College
 A mainstream college in the Mansfield area are in the process of recruiting a full time Learning Mentor to work in their inclusion unit, starting immediately on a long term cover. The role will involve working with small groups and some 1 to 1 work also. The setting involves working with students who have challenging behaviour so your classroom control will need to be strong.
The role is full time, covering 5 days in the week.
Salary between £100 and £135 per day depending on experience.
The successful Learning Mentor will need to have experience working with children who are less engaged than some of their fellow students, and possibly more vulnerable. Qualities the school are looking for are:
Good behaviour management
A positive interest in working with children and the ability to develop positive relationships
Ability to get the best out of children and demonstrate their progress.
Able to work on own and as part of a team.
Ability to build good working relationships with a range of colleagues
Confidence to run effective, targeted support groups
A clear communicator
Ability to work calmly and with patience
In return, the Learning Mentor will have the opportunity to work with a fantastic team in a welcoming environment.
