Wage/Salary: £18.20 per Hour | £382.20 per Week | £19,877.40 per Annum | All figures quoted in gross
Driver Essential? Yes, with own car due to family home remote location
Essential: Experienced Nanny with excellent early years development experience. Epilepsy and physical disability experience, Non smoker / vaper
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: 21 hours per week. Tuesday and Wednesday 7.00am – 5.30pm

About this client/child: Alex is soon to be 4 years old, and lives at home with his Mummy and Daddy. He is an energetic, affectionate, active, engaging and confident cheeky chap with a love for playing outside, ball games, he is very sociable and loves playing with friends, and is outdoorsy – he really loves spending all day playing outside and going on long walks in his buggy. Alex has Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy (drop seizures) and Global Development Delay. He is currently working on his communication skills, and is starting to use some words, and he can bum shuffle to get about, and currently uses his buggy outdoors. Alex’s Mummy and Daddy work full-time, and he attends nursery twice per week, therefore he requires a part-time SEN Nanny to provide sole charge care on Tuesday and Wednesdays.
Overview of role: This is a typical SEN Nanny role, that requires an experienced Nanny confident working in a sole charge role. Alex is in the early stages of rehabilitation, and his therapy team will train you on how to implement his programmes in a fun and creative way; he has lots of potential and strives for his independence, therefore his therapy is a real focus and goal for this role. Other duties such as going to playgroups, soft play, picnics at the park, running errands, preparing meals and household duties related to Alex will all be included in this role. Alex experiences drop seizures throughout the day, it is vital that he is constantly supervised, although his seizures tend to last only a few seconds. There is the opportunity for additional babysitting hours, in the evening or on weekends if desired.

You will be an advocate, with a keen interest in therapy, and a passion for supporting others to reach their full potential. A driver with their own car is essential.
