Are you looking for a new school caretaker role?
Are you a proactive, energetic team player with an eye for detail who takes pride in their work?
We are looking for a school caretaker/site manager to join a popular primary school in Harlow on a full-time basis. This role would be perfect for someone who either has prior experience as a school caretaker or is looking to utilise their ‘handyperson’ skills and background in a new position within a primary school.
THE POSITION
* School caretaker
* Primary school in Harlow
* Split shifts (8.00am – 11.30am and 3.15pm – 6.15pm)
* Key holder responsibilities
* Responsible for maintaining the safety, maintenance and upkeep of the school site
* Long-term role with strong possibility of permanent
Examples of duties could include :
* Regularly checking fire and safety systems
* Undertaking routine maintenance work on school site
* Arranging emergency repairs where necessary
* Overseeing cleaning staff
* Liaising with external contractors
* Undertaking general porterage duties including moving furniture and equipment within the school
