Our supply chain management professionals ensure the responsible sourcing of products and subconsultant services for client projects during the construction process.
This role will manage the procurement of Services and Equipment on projects which involves supply chain development, procurement strategy, tendering and evaluation, negotiation, contract management and expediting.
This is a great opportunity to join as a key member of the project delivery team, for a range of challenging projects of significant scale and complexity, where you will have the guidance and training to step into a senior position over time, and take the lead in procurement for some key projects.
Key Objectives
To administer the process of procuring services and equipment for the Companies projects
To work closely with project teams and customers delivering a service to fully meet their requirements.
To support the procurement and supply chain team with the prequalification of existing and new supply chain partners
To support the procurement and supply chain team with the assessment of all quotes/commercial terms as well as leading all technical and commercial analysis
To present and gain approval of the Tender Recommendations from the Customers in accordance with the Procurement Strategy and Schedule
To expedite and support with engineering and construction teams to deliver procured items in accordance with the Project Schedule
About You
Experience within a procurement role within construction or engineering
High level of proficiency in the use of general Microsoft Office software i.e. Word, Excel, etc.
Experience of EU and UK supply chains
Full UK driving license
Experience of working with construction contractors
Experience delivering complex procurement packages Buyer- Engineering- Construction- Manchester- Hybrid
