As a Nursery Practitioner you will support the design and delivery room activities in line with EYFS principles. You would be part of a highly trained team, who encourage the children to get involved in imaginative play and real-world play to help them grow and develop. There is a wealth of resources to draw on including a computer suite, to introduce the children to the digital world, as well as baking with the in-house chef. Outside, they promote a ‘grow your own’ initiative providing spaces in our garden for children to plant their own vegetables, herbs, plants, and flowers.

Responsibilities:
Provide stimulating experiences for the children that are appropriate to their age and stage of development, and create a nurturing environment
Build positive partnerships with parents and carers with thorough handovers on daily collection and encourage their participation in the nursery
Understand and implement the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS
Regularly review and follow children’s care plans for any medical needs or dietary requirements
Observe, support and extend children’s development, update children’s learning journals accurately
Embrace a culture of continual improvement with ongoing learning and upskillingKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Hold a full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification
Have experience of working within Early Years and have knowledge of the framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements
