The role

You will be a key member of the Corporate senior leadership team, with accountability for the performance and delivery of the Group Financial Control and Reporting function in line with Kindred's strategy. You will lead change management practices with a focus on accountability and ownership to unleash the full potential of the team. You will oversee the financial reporting of all entities within the Kindred Group. You will be responsible for delivering accurate, compliant, and timely financial statements for all local statutory accounts as well as consolidated accounts for the Group. You will provide strategic guidance and analysis to the group's CFOO and support with presentations to the Audit Committee. You are technically savvy with accounting standards, and you are able to manage independently external auditors and ensure smooth financial audit process at local and group level.

What you will do

  • · Lead a team of professional accountants, ensuring that they are working on and performing against relevant and meaningful business and development goals, aligned to the Corporate functional strategy.
  • · Oversee and support team professional development and ensure that there are succession plans in place across critical roles within the Group Financial Control organisation.
  • · Oversee the preparations and consolidation of the group's monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • · Coordinate the annual and interim financial audits for all companies within the Group with the support of local financial controllers.
  • · Ensure that your team can provide technical accounting advice in real time for complex financial accounting matters.
  • · Oversee the maintenance of the financial policies and accounting manual.
  • · Supervise, mentor, and develop the Group reporting team and the financial control team, and ensure effective communication and collaboration across the Corporate functions.
  • · Provide technical accounting advice and support the CFOO and board of directors on strategic decisions.
  • · Optimise the use of our new ERP system specifically the consolidation tool to streamline processes and enhance financial reporting scalability.
  • · Recommend on the financial reporting requirements for the group's projects, investments, and acquisitions.
  • · Maintain and develop relationships with external stakeholders, such as auditors and regulators and ensure compliance with their reporting and disclosure requirements.
  • · Keep abreast of the latest developments and trends in the gaming industry and the financial markets and identify and implement best practices and improvements for the group's financial function.
  • · Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across finance and non-finance departments, including acquired business heads, to ensure alignment and drive strategic initiatives forward.
  • · Work hand in hand with different stakeholders across the organisation on the annual and sustainability report and own the financial sections of the annual report.
  • · Work closely with the commercial finance team when it comes to quarterly reporting providing technical accounting advice and commentary for market announcements.
  • · Participate in M&A activities (if any) and provide advice on financial reporting and integration of any future acquisitions.

Your experience

  • · At least 10 years' experience in leading large, geographically dispersed teams to achieve exceptional results, focusing on a culture of collaboration, and ensuring team members are developed, engaged, and empowered.
  • · Proven ability to lead teams through organisational change and culture transformation to achieve high performing, effective and scalable teams.
  • · Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • · A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and a professional accounting qualification, such as CPA, CA, CMA, or ACCA.
  • · Experience working in public accounting firm (Big 4 or equivalent)
  • · Extensive experience in financial management and reporting, experience in a regulated, fast paced and dynamic listed environment with international coverage and multi-currency exposure.
  • · Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting standards, financial regulations, and industry practices.
  • · Advanced skills in financial analysis, modelling, and reporting, and proficiency in using financial software and systems, such as ERP, BI, and Excel.
  • · High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • · Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and the ability to provide sound financial guidance and advice to the CFOO/CFO and board of directors.
  • · Passion, enthusiasm, and creativity for products and customer experience.
