A secondary school in Wednesbury requires a committed SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant to offer 1:1 support to children with autism and ADHD. This role is crucial in helping students surmount educational challenges and realise their full potential.
 
Responsibilities:
Provide individualised support to students with autism and ADHD, addressing their specific educational needs.
Assist in the execution of personalised learning plans and strategies.
Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment to encourage student engagement and participation.
Collaborate with teachers and SEN coordinators to monitor and track student progress.
Modify teaching methods and materials to meet the unique needs of each student.
Offer emotional and behavioural support to help students manage their challenges and succeed academically.
Communicate consistently with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and well-being. 
Requirements:
A recent graduate with a strong academic background.
A keen interest in supporting children with special educational needs, particularly autism and ADHD.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong, supportive relationships with students.
Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the varying needs of students.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
