We are seeking a skilled AWS Data Architect with extensive experience in Java Development , Spring Boot , and Microservices for a critical migration project within the banking domain. The individual must be passionate about technology and adept at developing and managing advanced technology applications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and lead the migration of data and applications to AWS , ensuring seamless integration and performance.
  • Develop microservices using Java and Spring Boot to support the migration and data handling processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, cloud-native solutions.
  • Lead the creation of Physical Data Models (PDMs) and Logical Data Models (LDMs) and develop Entity-Relationship (ER) diagrams .
  • Oversee the design and implementation of robust data pipelines using AWS services and modern tools.
  • Work with relational and NoSQL databases to ensure smooth data management and migration.
  • Manage version control, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and monitoring setups.


Technical Skills Required:

  • Java Development: Proficiency in Java (latest versions, e.g., Java 17) is mandatory for this role, especially for developing microservices.
  • Spring Boot & Spring Framework: Expertise in Spring Boot (version 2.5+) and Spring Framework (version 5+) for server-side application development.
  • Microservices Architecture: Strong experience in building and managing microservices to facilitate modular application development.
  • Data Architecture:
  • In-depth knowledge of data decomposition, entity creation , normalization , and designing Entity-Relationship (ER) diagrams .
  • Experience with Polymorphic Data Types and Abstract Data Types (ADTs) .
  • Proficiency in Physical Data Models (PDMs) and Logical Data Models (LDMs) .
  • AWS Services:
  • Extensive experience with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) .
  • Proficiency with AWS Schema Conversion Tool (SCT) and familiarity with AWS services like AWS RDS , AWS Redshift , and AWS Glue .
  • Databases:
  • Relational databases: Expertise in MySQL , PostgreSQL , and Oracle .
  • NoSQL databases: Experience with DynamoDB and MongoDB .
  • NewSQL databases: Familiarity with CockroachDB or Google Spanner .
  • IBM DB2 experience is a plus.
  • Data Migration: Expertise in using data migration testing tools and methodologies to ensure data integrity during migrations.
  • Additional Tools:
  • Version Control Systems: Git.
  • CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab.
  • Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
