My client is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with extensive experience in high-rise apartments to join their dynamic team in Manchester. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will oversee the financial and contractual aspects of their high-rise apartment projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives. The Senior Quantity Surveyor role is critical to their success, and my client is excited to find a Senior Quantity Surveyor who is as passionate about high-rise developments as they are.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage financial and contractual aspects of high-rise apartment projects from inception to completion.
Ensure projects are completed within budget, on time, and to high-quality standards.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets, conduct cost analysis, and manage project costs.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
Develop and implement procurement strategies and manage the procurement process.
Prepare and present regular financial reports and provide accurate financial information.
Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors and foster a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
Professional membership with RICS or equivalent.
5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a focus on high-rise apartment projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations for high-rise developments.
Proven experience in cost estimation, budgeting, contract management, and procurement.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Detail-oriented and highly organised with strong problem-solving skills.
Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality results.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
