The Supply Planner will work closely with the Senior Supply Chain Planner to ensure stock availability for the UK and European operations. They will work closely with suppliers and freight forwarders and manage the purchasing process and logistics.
Responsibilities of the role:nRaising and placing purchase orders with Suppliers against ERP requirementsnPrioritise incoming shipments and arrange transport for collectionnEnsure all systems are updated with delivery dates, pricing updates and order acknowledgementsnManage inventory levels and agreed inventory holdings by analysing demand, forecast and trendsnProactively communicate supplier issues relating to stock shortages, lead times and qualitynBuild strong working and collaborative working relationships with suppliers and monitor performancenUpdate systems when shipments leave suppliers and identify any potential bottlenecksnProduce open order book, inventory and KPI reports
Experience and knowledge required for the role:nExperience of working in a supply chain role – planning/logistics/purchasingnThrives working in a fast-paced environment within a growing and evolving businessnCan build strong working relationships with colleagues and suppliersnERP/MRP system experiencenAdvanced Excel skills – Vlook up, pivot table and formulasnStrong analytical and numerical skillsnPositive mindset teamed with bags of drive and enthusiasm
