We are looking for an arboricultural professional to join our thriving tree service. You will join a team of arboriculture officers leading on the management and inspection of the Council’s tree stock. You will be responsible for carrying out risk management and providing specialist arboricultural advice. You will be responsible for issuing works to our Contractor and In-house tree service and will be willing to undertake a wide range of duties that are not directly related to the technical area of arboriculture including: financial management, general administration, member’s enquiries, and contract management. The successful post holder will have strong experience of working in urban areas, ideally in carrying out tree inspections, surveys, diagnosis of tree defects/diseases and specifying remedial works. You’ll have good working knowledge of tree legislation and using tree decay detection equipment. You will have good communication skills and be able to engage and understand the perspectives of a range of stakeholders including Council officers, Councillors, Developers, Community groups and the Public. We are keen to help team members develop and are looking for a positive individual with personal drive and initiative who wants to learn and improve to join our team
