Due to our continued success Progress Teachers are looking for a passionate Teacher of Music to work within a Secondary School in PerryBar. As a Teacher of Music you will be expected play a crucial role in promoting a vibrant and inclusive musical environment, nurturing students' passion for music, and ensuring the department's success.
Responsibilities:
* Designing and developing a comprehensive music lessons that aligns with educational standards and the school's goals.
* Ensure the lessons reflects a broad spectrum of musical genres and styles.
* Create an environment that fosters student interest, participation, and enthusiasm for music.
* Organise and support extracurricular music activities and clubs.
* Oversee the maintenance and acquisition of musical instruments and equipment.
* Collaborate with other school departments and administration to integrate music into the overall educational experience.
* Coordinate music-related events, such as concerts, recitals, and competitions.
* Engage with parents, the local community, and potential donors to promote and support the music program.
* Build partnerships with local music organisations and institutions.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s (BA) or master’s degree in music education or a related field.
* Teaching certification and relevant licenses.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Proven experience in music education and curriculum development.
* Strong leadership and management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Commitment to inclusivity and diversity in music education.
* Proficiency in musical instruments and technology.
* Passion for music and a dedication to inspiring and motivating students
